Road Status
Highest continuous paved road in US. Typically opens late May, closes mid-October. Call (970) 586-1222 for recorded status.
Unpaved one-way road. Opens early July through early October. Vehicles over 25 feet prohibited.
Open year-round. Winter driving conditions possible. Traction law may be in effect.
Closed at winter access gate. Open for skiing/snowshoeing. Full access typically May-October.
Closed just west of West Alluvial Fan Parking Area. Reopens late spring.
Closed at junction with Trail Ridge Road. Reopens when Trail Ridge Road opens.
Shuttle Service
Free shuttle from Park & Ride to Bear Lake area. Runs every 10-15 minutes during peak season. Last shuttle departs Bear Lake at 7:30 PM.
Free shuttle connecting campgrounds and trailheads in Moraine Park area. Last shuttle departs Fern Lake at 7:30 PM.

Early morning shuttle for one-way hikes. Reservations required. Last bus departs Park & Ride at 6:00 PM. Daily service May 23-Sep 1, weekends only Sep 6-Oct 19.
